The type specimen used for original description is cited from Aru.

Acalolepta (Dihammus) longicornis longicornis (Thomson, 1858) is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.

The group is the nominal subdivision of Acalolepta longicornis, species combined with the genus Acalolepta ranked in the tribe Lamiini.
