Sphingnotus mirabilis keyensis Schwarzer, 1924 is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.

The group is a subdivision of Sphingnotus mirabilis, species combined with the Sphingnotus genus ranked in the Tmesisternini tribe of Lamiinae.
