L. Fairmaire is the author of the original taxon.
The type specimen used for original description is cited from Tonkin.
Glenea (Glenea) pseudoscalaris pseudoscalaris (Fairmaire, 1895) is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.
The group is the nominal subdivision of Glenea pseudoscalaris, species combined with the Glenea genus ranked in the Saperdini tribe of Lamiinae.
