Agapanthia (Homoblephara) maculicornis maculicornis (Gyllenhal, 1817) is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.

The group is the nominal subdivision of Agapanthia maculicornis, species combined with the Agapanthia genus ranked in the Agapanthiini tribe of Lamiinae.
