The type specimen used for original description is cited from Asian Kazakhstan.
Agapanthia (Epoptes) alternans paralternans Danilevsky, 2017 is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.
The group is a subdivision of Agapanthia alternans, species combined with the Agapanthia genus ranked in the Agapanthiini tribe of Lamiinae.
