The type specimen used for original description is cited from Surinam.

Nitakeris nigricornis nigricornis (Olivier, 1800) is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.

The group is the nominal subdivision of Nitakeris nigricornis, species combined with the Nitakeris genus ranked in the Saperdini tribe of Lamiinae.
