The type specimen used for original description is cited from R. D. Congo.

Dyenmonus (Cylindrodyenmonus) cristipennis Breuning, 1950 is the full name of the group-species in the taxonomic classification system.

The species is combined with the Dyenmonus genus ranked in the Saperdini tribe of Lamiinae.
