The type specimen used for original description comes from Taiwan.

Bacchisa (Bacchisa) fortunei flavicornis (Kono, 1933) is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.

The group is a subdivision of Bacchisa fortunei, species combined with the Bacchisa genus ranked in the Astathini tribe of Lamiinae.
