L.A. Chevrolat is the author of the original taxon.
The type specimen used for original description is cited from Vieux Calabar.
Aderpas lineolatus lineolatus (Chevrolat, 1856) is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.
The group is the nominal subdivision of Aderpas lineolatus, species combined with the Aderpas genus ranked in the Aderpasini tribe of Lamiinae.
