The type specimen used for original description is cited from North China.

Acalolepta (Acalolepta) permutans permutans (Pascoe, 1857) is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.

The group is the nominal subdivision of Acalolepta permutans, species combined with the Acalolepta genus ranked in the Lamiini tribe of Lamiinae.
