G. Kraatz is the author of the original taxon.

The type specimen used for original description is cited from Far East Russia.

Leiopus (Leiopus) albivittis albivittis Kraatz, 1879 is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.

The group is the nominal subdivision of Leiopus albivittis, species combined with the Leiopus genus ranked in the Acanthocinini tribe of Lamiinae.
