The type specimen used for original description comes from South Africa, Natal.

Exocentrus (Camptomyne) inclusus Pascoe, 1859 is the full name of the group-species in the taxonomic classification system.

The species divided into 2 subspecies, is combined with the Exocentrus genus ranked in the Exocentrini tribe of Lamiinae.
