Compsosoma is the scientific name of a group of Lamiinae -also called lamiines or flat-faced longhorned beetles-

Compsosoma Lepeletier & Audinet-Serville, 1830

Lepeletier, A.L.M. & Audinet-Serville, J.G. are the authors of the original taxon.

The type species is Lamia mutillaria Klug, 1825.

Compsosoma Lepeletier & Audinet-Serville, 1830 is the full name of the group-genus in the taxonomic classification system.

Compsosoma has 13 species. This genus is ranked in the Compsosomatini tribe of Lamiinae.
