Mesosa (Aplocnemia) Stephens, 1831

J.F. Stephens is the author of the original taxon.

The type species is Lamia nebulosa Fabricius, 1781.

Mesosa (Aplocnemia) Stephens, 1831 is the full name of the group-subgenus in the taxonomic classification system.

Mesosa (Aplocnemia) has 33 species and subspecies (30 species plus 3 non-nominal subspecies). The subgenus is a subdivision of Mesosa, genus ranked in the Mesosini tribe of Lamiinae.
