S. Breuning is the author of the original taxon.
The type specimen used for original description is cited from R. D. Congo.
Isochariesthes francoisi francoisi (Breuning, 1972) is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.
The group is the nominal subdivision of Isochariesthes francoisi, species combined with the Isochariesthes genus ranked in the Tragocephalini tribe of Lamiinae.
