The type specimen used for original description is cited from Tanzania.

Corus albithorax albithorax Breuning, 1960 is the full name of the group-subspecies in the taxonomic classification system.

The group is the nominal subdivision of Corus albithorax, species combined with the Corus genus ranked in the Crossotina tribe of Lamiinae.
